Cicadas Rhyme

A collective project about nonverbal communication

The cicada is a symbol, among others, of the initiates of the Greco-Roman mysteries because, lacking of the mouth, the cicadas harmonize a melodious chant emitting sounds with a part of their body and therefore they alluded to secrecy. Hence, taking inspiration from their synchronized chant, this work is an attempt to find a collective harmony without the use of the word, but rather with images and gestures.
