Abstract circle

Abstract circle is a site specific installation made on commission of Pamali Festival in Passo San Boldo (BL) during 4 days of music and visual arts in the natural setting of the hills that separate the province of Belluno to Treviso.

The project is an attempt to create an empirical visual and spatial connection between the stars and the earth, a synaesthetic correspondence as a metaphysical link.

The installation consists of a circle of stone within which are placed the wood elements oriented in correspondence of several stars in the Draco constellation.

The orthogonal projection of the points creates a geometry which in turn is re-projected on the crests of the backwaters trees and animated in a mandala using the inputs of the surrounding sound.
